AT&T executive defends network performance | | 2009/10/09 | | An AT&T director has been forced to defend the performance of the firm's wireless network.
John Donovan, chief technology officer at the US telephony services provider, said the company was focused on providing customers with "an excellent wireless experience".
He was speaking after complaints over dropped calls and slow web access from iPhone users, as reported by cnet.com.
Speaking at wireless association CTIA's trade show, he said he was "not ignoring" the criticism of AT&T's network.
He added: "I'm well aware of what's being said in the press, in blogs, and on Twitter. But I don't base my network plans on what I read on blogs. No one knows more about the wireless data customer experience than AT&T."
News provider Erictric recently reported that Research in Motion suffered an internet outage during September.
The outage spanned a couple of days, affecting the majority of the firm's BlackBerry Internet Services. |
