News site nurtures UK's budding journalists | | 2008/05/22 | | An independent news website utilising video streaming to bring its reports to life has initiated a project aimed at helping young journalists develop content for publication over the internet.
YouReport TV is currently in discussions with training organisation Youth Culture TV (YCTV), with the purpose of striking a deal which would allow aspiring journalists to put their video reports out over the web.
In a workshop run for teenagers at YCTV, YouReport TV demonstrated how young people can use the internet as an avenue of distribution for media reports.
Co-founder of YouReportTV, Julian Hall, commented: "We launched YouReportTV with a very clear objective in mind, to provide an outlet for the entire community to express themselves and report on news which was relevant to them through utilising the unlimited reach of the internet".
YouReport TV possesses technology allowing journalists to text news items directly to the website for publication.
