P&O to tailor marketing with website monitoring | | 2008/09/04 | | UK-based cruise operator P&O has enlisted the help of Speed Trap to monitor activity and content on its website.
The website dedicated to its ferry operations will now use the Customer Insight Software (CIS) package to track user activity and it is hoped that this will enable the firm to tailor its marketing strategies more accurately.
According to Brand republic, Speed Trap's CIS software will gather real-time information about the end users' website experience using web 2.0 technology.
Web manager at P&O Ferries Dan Acarnley said: "Speed-Trap's software has the potential to transform our approach to our online customers.
"With it we can ensure that we are proactively driving the conversion of the site through a better understanding of how our customers use it.
"Previously we've only ever been able to see the most basic of information about our visitors - now we'll have complete online customer insight."
More than ten million passengers a year use P&O Ferries on services to many European ports including Bilbao, Calais, Dublin, Rotterdam and Zeebrugge. |
